Student Art Showing at State Exhibition

Student art from approximately 50 school districts across the State of Texas will be exhibited in two Austin locations: the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum from February 25-March 11 and the Lower Rotunda at the State Capitol from March 18-26, 2018 as part of the Texas Art Education Association’s recognition and celebration of National Youth Art Month.  Our community is invited to come out and view the work at either of these venues during their showing.  The following Round Rock ISD visual arts students will have their work shown as part of this special exhibition.  Congratulations to:

Charlotte Dean, 1st Grader at Spicewood Elementary.  Jen Holsinger-Raybourn is her visual arts teacher.

Simoni Khare, 8th grader at Noel Grisham Middle School.  Kristin Goodman is her visual arts teacher.

Connor Trammell, 8th grader at James Walsh Middle School.  Cecelia Pichini is his visual arts teacher.

Likhita Velmurugan, 8th grader at Pearson Ranch Middle School.  Stephanie Ludlow is her visual arts teacher.

The Texas Art Education Association will host a special awards program and reception to recognize these student artists on Sunday, March 11th at 2:00 p.m. at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin. This celebration will be held in the Austin Room (3rd floor) of the Bullock Museum; this is also the same room that will house the exhibit. Due to limited seating, only the artist’s teacher, the artist, principal, district representative, and immediate family are invited.
