RRISD Dance Teams perform at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii

Congratulations to all five of our Round Rock ISD Dance Teams. On Sunday, March 11, 2018 history was made as over 200 RRISD dance team members from all five RRISD high schools performed to the  Stars and Stripes at the Pearl Harbor Memorial site. Never before has this occurred and the spectators were in awe of the excellence of the performance.

It was a trip of a lifetime for many of the students as they not only given the privilege to visit the Pearl Harbor Memorial and the Battleship Missouri, but to perform as well. In honor of all those who served and died, the entire RRISD dance program laid a wreath in honor at the memorial site.
The students and chaperones were also able to tour the island of Oahu, the City of Honolulu, and even participate in an authentic Luau. They climbed the historical Diamond Head crater and had the opportunity to snorkel at Haunama Bay.
The RRISD dance directors did an excellent job of planning and coordinating such an incredible trip for all those who attended. Many thanks to RRISD Administration, RRISD Fine Arts, parents and community who helped make this dream come true for our dance team students.
