Congratulations to Diana D’Emeraude, theatre faculty member at Canyon Vista Middle School who has been chosen to participate as a 2018 Fellow with Fund for Teachers. Ms. D’Emeraude will take in courses and attend plays primarily with secondary theatre teachers from the U.K. at the Globe Theatre in London, with the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon, and other venues that will include: approaches to teaching Shakespeare and discussions with specialists to develop curricula for her middle school students.
D’Emeraude joins a peer group of nearly 8,000 preK-12 educators who refuse to settle for traditional professional development or the status quo in their classroom. After navigating the globe conducting field research, attending seminars, volunteering with community organizations or observing best practices, Fund for Teachers Fellows inspire school communities with authentic learning.
