McNeil High School Varsity Winterguard places 4th in the world!

The McNeil Varsity Winterguard made history over last two weeks as they competed at the highest levels with their beautiful show, “By What We Give.” Competing in the higher level of Open Class, and led by Christopher McCarthy, they became the State Champions of the Texas Color Guard Circuit! Then they traveled to Ohio for the Winter Guard International World Championships last week where they ended up in 4th place….IN THE WORLD! They are the highest placing guard in Texas this year and this is the highest ranking any guard from RRISD has ever earned.
The McNeil Winterguard program is one of the greatest organizations on campus, and we are very thankful to Mrs. Acosta and the district administration for allowing these students to create this unforgettably rewarding experience! This is going to be their greatest memory for all four years in high school and they could not have represented the McNeil community any better on such a grand stage. Go Mavs!
