Harp duo perform student scholarship benefit concert

Harp duo, DUO 512, will be performing a program of French and Spanish music at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 15., at the Cedar Ridge Performance Auditorium, 2801 Gattis School Rd., in Round Rock.

The program includes music originally written for the harp, as well as transcriptions of pieces written for other instruments. All of the selections have an origin in either the French or Spanish musical tradition.

Sarah Oliver Ladd and Carly Nelson, professional harpists and Round Rock ISD middle and high school harp instructors, perform as DUO 512.

The musical event is open to the public. A suggested donation at the door of $5.00 per person over the age of 12 will be used to benefit Round Rock ISD students who may need financial assistance to study the harp and participate in program activities.
