Chisholm Trail student sings with National American Choral Directors Mixed Choir

Congratualtions to Jewel Pierson, 8th grade choir student at Chisholm Trail Middle School (CTMS) on her inclusion in the National American Choral Directors Mixed Honor Choir.   Jaime Mattox, CTMS Choir Director says “Over the past 3 years Jewel has grown from a timid 6th grader afraid to take risk, into a flourishing musician who seeks excellence in all she strives and works.   She made 1st chair in region choir auditions this year, had several solos, performed with our CTMS Musical Theater program, and now has been accepted into the National American Choral Directors Mixed Honor Choir!”

Jewel will be traveling to Kansas City, Missouri to sing with the finest students in the nation in late February.  She represents the best of Round Rock ISD, and our commmunity is so very proud of this honor she has received.
