McNeil High School Winter Guard Earns 4th Place at World Championships….Again!
Last weekend the McNeil Varsity Winter Guard went to Dayton, Ohio to represent the band program, campus, and community in the Winter Guard International World Championships for the second year in a row. Their show, “Reminiscence,” was a national favorite and just like last year, they were 4th place in the more competitive Open Class Finals. They are the only Open Class guard in the entire country to place this high the past two years in a row.
This has been the most successful season in McNeil Winter Guard history. They won three Texas Color Guard Circuit and two WGI regional contests, and came in 2nd place at the WGI Power Regional in Denton and the TCGC State Championships prior to World Championships.
