Round Rock High School Thespians ROCKED the International Thespian Festival held in Lincoln, Nebraska, June 24-29, 2019.
Five of our qualifying events competed among over 1600 event qualifiers from around the country and world. We are proud of all our competitors, who did their absolute best to represent Round Rock High School (RRHS) and Round Rock ISD.
Kaitlyn Hartnagel received an EXCELLENT rating in Stage Management.
Garrison Monroe and Sky Rios received an EXCELLENT ranking in Duet Musical.
Elena Krawczyk received a SUPERIOR in Lighting Design and fell only one point short of a perfect score (59 out of 60 points).
Abigail Bensman, Peyton Daniels, Sam Davis, Kimberly Negus, Ryan Pascarella, Zoe Pena, Trenton Pepper, Sydney Swain, and Connor Yesh received a SUPERIOR in Group Musical, receiving a perfect score. They were one of a handful of performance events called back for main stage consideration.
Olivia Berry, Olivia Richert, and Meghan Smith received a SUPERIOR in Group Acting, made a call-back and were selected to perform in the Main Stage Showcase. This the second year in a row RRHS has been seen in the Nationals Showcase, one of the toughest feats in high school theatre.
Nineteen students participated in workshops, college auditions, and saw performances brought to Festival from all around the country. From BRING IT ON to HAMLET to SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE to BRIGHT STAR to XANADU to BE MORE CHILL, students and teachers Theatre’d for a solid week and had a great time!
