The Visual Arts Program of Round Rock ISD has been recognized for a second year by the Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) as a District of Distinction. The program submitted work in advocacy, community engagement, participation in programming, exhibitions, service by students to the community, Visual Arts Scholastic event work and other elements in a twelve category assessment of its program. Over 1,000 districts were eligible to apply for the Texas Art Education Association Visual Arts Award and only forty-two districts received this outstanding honor. Tim Lowke, Assistant Director of Visual and Performing Arts states “ this recognition is a direct result of the high quality work in visual arts education being done daily by our talented faculty with our students!”
“The TAEA District of Distinction is a designation to be proud of as your district is providing its students with a well-rounded education rich in creative opportunities that ensure success for all.”
